Hi everyone, on 2 November from 21:00 the next monthly get-together will be in Café Marktzicht. This get-together is all about the announcement of the Katimba (lustrum) week, with the theme ‘In bath with Eureka’. The Katimba week will take place in the second week of block 2, from 22 to 26 November. During the sparkling bubble get-together on 2 November, all the activities that the KatimbaCo has planned for the celebration of Eureka’s fifth anniversary will be announced! And of course this will be celebrated with a drink ?
Hi everyone, next week on Thursday 28 October the third General Assembly of Members of board V will take place. From 18:45 you are all welcome in the Sweelinckzaal on Drift 21. If all went well you received the documents for the GAM in the mail yesterday evening. If you don’t see the mail in your inbox it might be that it ended up in your spambox. Hopefully we will see you next week at the GAM
We hope you had a warm welcome and an engaging start of the HHP. You’ve probably learned a lot in the first block of the programme – about your discipline as well as the Honours Programme – but you might still have some remaining questions regarding the trajectory of the programme, or your upcoming projects and courses.
The Onderwijscommissie/Curriculum Committee and SV Eureka are therefore hosting a Q&A session on Wednesday, October 27th at 15.15, where you can ask any open questions, or hear about some experiences from previous Honours students. This might come in handy if you’re thinking about your potential portfolio activities, or the upcoming tutorial project (Terreinverkenning II) you will begin to work on in Block 2 – but any questions are welcome! The students there will be happy to share their experiences and tips.

Hi everyone, in honour of the recently deceased French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo we will be watching Pierrot le Fou for our movie night this month on October 20th at 20:00 in the Eureka room (Drift 13 1.16). Pierrot le Fou (French for “Crazy Pierrot”) is a 1965 French New Wave film directed by Jean-Luc Godard, starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Anna Karina. Pierrot escapes his boring bourgeois life and runs away with the enigmatic Marianne, a girl chased by hit-men from Algeria. They lead an unorthodox life, always on the run. The film will be introduced by Sabrina Botasheva, who suggested we watch the movie ?️
Hey lovely people, in the theme of the declutter month that our wonderful confidential counselor Jeanne has organized, there will be a clothing swap next week Thursday 14 October! The declutter theme of this week is clothing. In the email you received there are all kinds of tips on cleaning out your wardrobe and choosing to get rid of the clothes that don’t fit or that you don’t wear. But what to do with those clothes? Starting Monday 11 October you can drop off your clothes in the Eureka room between 11:00 and 15:00. On Thursday from 13:00 to 17:00 it is time for the clothing exchange and you can immediately fill your tidy wardrobe again. Hi dear fellows, board V is looking for successors! That’s why we organised two board information evenings, on 13 October in Dutch and on 14 October in English. Are you like ‘gosh, I would actually like to know more about what it means to be a board member at Eureka’? Then you should definitely come to the board information evening. It is completely without engagement, so even if you are very uncertain you are more than welcome. Both evenings are from 19:15 to maximum 21:00 at Drift 21 in room 1.08.
